The deadlines for receiving proceeds are set in the contract — the bank takes them into account when registering it. Under Presidential Decree No. 430, the mandatory amount of foreign currency proceeds to be credited is tied to the mandatory sale rate — check the rate in force on the date of the deal. For amounts from 3 million RUB (import) or 10 million RUB (export), the contract is registered with the bank and receives a unique number (UNK).

The contract should state the State Registration Number (SRN), the full company name, and address. Verification is done via burtgel.gov.mn.

CISG and arbitration

Mongolia acceded to the CISG in 1997 and the Convention has been in force there since 1 January 1999. In our contract, disputes go to the ICAC at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, and the governing law is Russian.
