Russia Trade Contract with Mongolia: Key Features

Mongolia is Russia's neighbor and a strategically important trade partner. The country is critically dependent on Russian fuel and exports mining products (coal, copper, cashmere).

Mongolian company details

The contract should state the State Registration Number (SRN), the full company name, and address. Verification is done via burtgel.gov.mn.

CISG and arbitration

Mongolia ratified the CISG in 1997. For dispute resolution, the ICAC under the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry or the Mongolian International Arbitration Centre (MIAC) is recommended.

Logistics

Direct rail service via the Trans-Siberian Railway (Naushki–Sükhbaatar border crossing). Transit from Ulan-Ude to Ulaanbaatar takes 3–4 days. The road border crossing is Kyakhta–Altanbulag.
