Israel acceded to the CISG in 2002 and the Convention has been in force there since 1 February 2003. It applies automatically to contracts for the sale of goods between Russian and Israeli companies unless the parties exclude it.

The deadlines for receiving proceeds are set in the contract — the bank takes them into account when registering it; the mandatory amount of foreign currency proceeds to be credited is set by Presidential Decrees No. 79 and No. 430. For amounts from 3 million RUB (import) or 10 million RUB (export), a unique contract number is registered with an authorized bank.
