Russia Trade Contract with Algeria: Key Features

Algeria is the largest country in Africa by area and a strategic trade partner for Russia. Russia's key export categories are metallurgical products, grain, and chemicals.

Specify in the contract the full company name, address, Commercial Register number (Numéro RC) issued by the CNRC, and the bank details. Verification: cnrc.org.dz.

If the parties agree on a documentary letter of credit, specify in custom payment terms how the L/C is opened and confirmed.

CISG and governing law

Algeria is not a party to the CISG. Our contract is governed by Russian law, and Russia is a party without an Article 95 reservation, so the CISG applies to the sale of goods as part of Russian law (Art. 1(1)(b)). Disputes under our contract are heard by the ICAC at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
